Wheel Gymnastics Signature Workshops

Our Cyr and Gym Wheel  Signature Workshops (18+) focus on the progression of each skill level and goal. The workshops include direct coaching and block coaching throughout the weekend for all three disciplines as well as developing duo and choreography skills. Assistance with creating free programs for competitions is available upon request.

The Junior Gym Wheel Workshop (ages 13-17) is like the adult workshop, but a chaperone will guide the kids through the weekend and provide supervision during lunch and snack breaks. Juniors will also take part in a 2 hour "basic coaching and spotting" mini-course. 

Youth (ages 7-12) are invited to a 5-hour FUN day for Gym Wheel, held at Chase Park on Saturday, March 9, 2019. A chaperone will lead the kids through the weekend and provides supervision during lunch break and snack time. In addition to learning skills in all three disciplines of Wheel Gymnastics, the kids will do some trampoline, acrobatics and learn a short group choreography in the wheel.

Coaching Clinics

The Wheel Gymnastics Level I course will certify you as an assistant coach and consists of Part A (10 units @45 min) and Part B (10 units @ 45 min) for a total of 20 units. 

- the minimum age for participating is 13 (thirteen) years  

-to obtain the certification, you must pass the final exam with an A grade.

The Wheel Gymnastics Level II course will grant you the highest coach certification available and consists of 8 x 20 units @ 45 min (160 units total). It covers advanced training methods, spotting, and conditioning for all three disciplines, biomechanics, and program design.

- the minimum age for participating is 16 (sixteen) years  

- to obtain the certification, you must pass the final exam with an A grade.

• you can purchase the official certificate for $50 upon course completion. You’ll need the certificate to be recognized as a certified coach for the USA Wheel Gymnastics Federation.

Judging Clinics

The judging course offers a comprehensive study of Wheel Gymnastics regulations and certifies judges for national and international competitions. The course consists of 7 different modules which will all be offered between Saturday 9:00 am and Sunday 12:00 pm (schedule TBA). An official certificate (US Wheel Gymnastics Federation) may be purchased for $30 upon completion of the course and passing A grade in the exam. Ages 14+. To be a regulated judge the certificate is needed! For the first time, we are educating Head Judges and Difficulty Judges (please inform us if you approach any of this position)

Add-ons

We offer several Add-on's so that you can get the most out of your weekend! For example, you can complete 1/2 of the Level I coaching clinic or the judging course and spend the rest of the weekend participating in our signature workshops.

You can also book private lessons with you favorite coach to get even more feedback to take back home - for athletes AND coaches. Please contact Wolfgang to check about coach availability and scheduling. 

Rolling 101: This 1.5 hour Gymnastic and Cyr Wheel Try-out session is scheduled for Friday and Saturday evening. This is for you if you have always wanted to try out Cyr Wheel or Wheel Gymnastics but don't want to spend the whole weekend spinning. Or maybe you want to bring some friends who are curious to try out Wheel Gymnastics. Min of 5 participants required.

Competition

Trials Part II

The fee for the Trials is $200 per participant if signed up for either a signature workshop or coaching education the fee will reduce to  $100.

Every competitor must sign up with a judge (1/2 position) . A fee of $150 will be added if you miss to sign up with a judge.

Your registration may be canceled with a full refund before September  8, 2019. A $50 non-refundable administration fee applies for registrations over $100, $25 non-refundable administration fee applies for registrations under $100.  Kids 12 years and under as well kids only participating in Willye White Park Cup are not subject to the non-refundable administration fee and exempted from the Annual Membership Fee.

Willye White ParkCup

WIlliye White Park Cup Athletes compete in  Beginner (6-12 /12-16) and Novice (12-14). This competition runs according to international rules and regulations which can be found under www.rhoenrad.com.
